A current project Restoring and reworking an Edwardian garden in a sensational setting. The terraced rose garden is to be hedged and replanted, and part of the slope down to the loch, once all Rhododendron ponticum, is to become a silver woodland garden – multistemmed white birches underplanted with white wild strawberries, the narcissus 'Thalia', and more. Elsewhere, banks of philadelphus are planned, groves of Nyssa, and the planting around the house is going to be a woodland of Magnolia 'Susan', underplanted with paeonies.
